Building high-tech robots with Swift – a story from the front lines
Description
We will share our adventure of shipping industrial high-tech photo machines using Swift, and how we addressed the integration of cameras, mechatronics and photo- and video processing pipelines on the Mac, with an iPad control interface. We will touch upon choices in software architecture and frameworks from the past 4 years, and share how we’re pushing Swift beyond our machines and into the Cloud.
Mathieu works at the heart of our Swift backend on imaging and video pipeline, AV foundation, Canon SDK and motor control, plus Swift dashboard and uploader on IBM cloud. His background is in motion tracking, codecs and broadcast, and holds a PhD from Université Lyon 1.
