Building high-tech robots with Swift – a story from the front lines
Description
We will share our adventure of shipping industrial high-tech photo machines using Swift, and how we addressed the integration of cameras, mechatronics and photo- and video processing pipelines on the Mac, with an iPad control interface. We will touch upon choices in software architecture and frameworks from the past 4 years, and share how we’re pushing Swift beyond our machines and into the Cloud.
Gerwin oversees all R&D of iPadOS and macOS software, algorithms, imaging pipelines, custom hardware and robotics at StyleShoots. Gerwin has a background in Computer Graphics and real-time 3D Visualization and holds a PhD from Delft University of Technology.
